I left Brooklyn (Ave U & E14th St)in 1971, and went back for the first time in October of '06. The place obviously looked different, a little run down and a lot of the places I was familiar with were now gone. Nothing looked the same. Still, truth be told, it was like getting reacquainted with an old flame. Needless to say, I can hardly wait to go back for another visit.
