My friend Johnny Hogan and I stole Bro. Gatian's paddle after he had used it on us not realizing that he could get another one on the spot. We hid it under a rock in Hogan's back yard. It is probably still there. Another time Hogan and another kid named Buzzy Ewers got in trouble and Bro Gatian offered them a choice-10 wacks or 500 word composition. Hogan,with all his bravado, said to Buzzy, " you've got to take the wacks." Buzzy did and was crying hysterically afterwoods. Gatian said to Hogan, your next whereupon Hogan said "I'll take the composition Brother."
