Richard, a few other Plaza venues of fond memory-Patio Diner (great Burgers and lime cokes); Herbie Marshall And Mike Katz(close family friend) accounting office near Dr. Woltag's office; I also frequented Mr.Eric's store. BTW Lipton's Soda Fountain made the best lemon and water in the neighborhood. I also had a couple of jobs nearby-delivery for Mayer the tailer on Newkirk between E.17 and e.16 right near the relocated Hobby Shop and next to Artie DeBoer's Grocery Store; and as a checkout for the long ago A&P on E.16. Couple of buddies of mine who I played ball with from the hood - Joey Leonetti and Randy Forte, as well as an Army Pal Brian Wallace from E.15 Street-do they sound familiar?Always Bought my Dion and the Belmonts 45s at the TV store, and stopped off from Brighton local or express after High School to watch an inning or so of the televised Dodger day games in the window before heading home on e.17 street. Seems like only yesterday...
