I was not familiar with the Bergen Beach Stables; however, closer to my neck of the woods, I vividly remember the equestrian path on the eastern side of Ocean Parkway. One could rent a horse from the Prospect Park area, and ride all the way to Brighton Beach, on the equestrian path on Ocean Parkway. Of course, the riders had to exercise caution, when they came to an intersection. I used to see the riders galloping along that pathway, when I was on the other side of Ocean Parkway with my bicycle. Unfortunately, the equestrian path was paved over in the late 1960's, because there may have been complaints regarding the "souvenirs", which the horses left.
