In Tuesday's Daily News, there's a story about him leaving for the city with a pipe bomb from his home and taking the subway from 18th Avenue, which means McDonald. There is a video in the same story where you can see the Newkirk Avenue street sign where he stored his stuff in a garage and possibly lived. On another social media site, someone said he came from Newkirk between Rugby and Argyle. The Flatlands connection was that he had some family there.
