Aaron, thanks for that info. Of course, the Administrators could make all the boards subscription boards; that might work, I sure don't know. Some years back, I ponied up for whatever they were asking because I felt The Brooklyn Board was a wonderful thing. A one-time payment for "lifetime" unlimited posting. Can't say that I used it that often; only when I felt I had something appropriate/intelligent/meaningful/enlightening to share with my former Brooklyn brothers and sisters.

But now, supposedly, there is an economic reality that might bring it all to an end. Perhaps, a general posting by the Administrators for all to see might forestall this from occurring and get things onto a realistic financial financial footing.

And, should everything fall like a house of cards, then it shall have been a wonderful run and, with apologies to Humphrey Bogart's Rick Blaine, "we'll always have The Brooklyn Board." And, if this occurs, who knows, hopefully, in a way we can't see now, it will rise again.
