The family doctor was Dr. Lamberta, who had an office on 150th St., across from King Parn and catty-cornered from Mary Immaculate Hospital. Pediatrician was Dr. Tosti, whose office was in his house on 175th St. off Jamaica Ave.

Both of these made house calls for, I think, $5 at the time.

Dentist was Dr. Pasche on Springfield Blvd. and, later, Dr. Marty, who had an office on 233rd St. in Queens Village. I went to high school with his son, Mike, who also became a dentist but practiced in the Air Force...got to be an O-6 before he retired.
