the reason why I never went back to Maspeth was because, most of my family moved out of the area,and went out to the Island or NJ.It was a very nice area while I was there,most people I know agree with you that they would not move back for free rent. Someday I would like to visit just to go down memory lane,It was great then but as the saying goes, you can never go home again.Most of the homes there have to be well over a Hundred years old and I am sure a lot of them are in the state of disrepair.Sad but true.Keep the good memories and be thankful that it was so nice at the time we lived there.
