Spent 2 years at Ft Hamilton Army Base courtesy of Uncle Sam-ring side seat to the building of the Verrazano. Actually rode across it in Army jeep with 4 other GIs to Ft Wadsworth before The Bridge was open to the Public to fire our weapons there since THey had target ranges and FT Hamilton did not! Majority of Hamilton Base went over days earlier by boat. Fantastic feeling- no other traffic just the Sun beating down and the water below! Also 40 years of Librarianship after the Military included Brooklyn stops at St Francis College-LIU- and last 10 as Info Desk librarian at Grand Army Plaza! Now if only the Dodgers would return Home from this too lengthy road trip (LOL)
