There was a Chinese launderer on Amboy Street second store off the corner of Hegeman Ave. Shirts, tablecloths and sheet sets mostly. Everything was folded and wrapped in brown butcher paper and tied with white string. But in those days everything smelled better. Mom used to hang clothes on a clothes line outside. Fabrese wasn't necessary.
